The question of booking flights, hotels or tours is the most frequent my friends and relatives ask me. Well, I totally understand that it is not an easy task to compile a plan with new destinations, date and schedules of arrival, check-in and the rest of figures. To make this kind of preparation work I always have a pen and A4 paper in front of me, because for me personally it is essential to see all the steps of planning in front of my eyes. Moreover, jumping from one window in browser to another really annoys. The second step I make, when I plan my another trip (provided I don’t have a friend to stay in the city of my destination), is hotel booking. Here I use BOOKING.COM mainly, as a very raliable and easy service, with lots of serach options, huge number of variants and perfect prices, but in some cases I check the available variants with the special form. Below I give the two hotel search forms: one for booking and another a global one. So after the tickets and flights are booked you are sure get notification on your emails and if you use google calendar, which I strongly recommend to do, because today it is a very flexible tool that can not only remind, but also pick up information from your inbox and put certain events in the schedule automatically, check if the dates are already in the calendar or put them down manually. Use the check-list:
- Count another +1 hour for the road and +2 hours for check-in, securuty check and duty frish shopping;
- Mind that in almost all the hotels (hostels, appartments) check-in starts after 2 p.m.;
- Don’t forget about currency exchange (from my experience airport is not the best place to change, better to have a plastic card or to change in advance in your bank);
- Check the weather forcast for arrival;
- Enjoy the trip!
