Issue of comfort

Prague is a safe and a very comfortable city for travelers, but of course there are some issues, which you should take care of before starting the trip. And the main one for parents with children is the way to get around the city centre.

Strollers

As for the questions of comfort parents wonder about, we should mention that travelling in Prague with kids is comfortable. The bigger part of supermarkets has changing tables, buildings are equipped with special staircases for strollers. Besides, not each European capital can boast about elevators in the metro stations and “low” trams.

All these in the aggregate greatly facilitates the everyday life of parents.

Worth mentioning that almost all Prague’s streets in the center are covered with cobble stones. If the wheels on the stroller are plastic or rubber wheels, you will feel discomfort riding it there. So make sure the stroller is fixed and ready for a lot of stones on its way.

Lactation

Prague is ready to welcome parents with kids of all ages. Besides, there are no restrictions for breastfeeding of babies in public places, whether it is a museum or a tourist attraction. One can feed kids anywhere and anytime. Czechs are very easy with this issue, because they love kids.

Playgrounds

There are a lot of playgrounds in Prague and all of them are well-made and thought of. Children won’t have time to become bored there.

Hotels – where to stay

The choice of accommodation in Prague depends mainly on the purpose of the trip. If you plan a short stay, it is better to stay in the central areas of the city: Prague-1 and Prague-2. Most of the attractions are located there and you will not waste time finding them.

Prague with kids - where to stay

Accommodation in other areas will cost cheaper, but it is worth choosing the options near the metro stations. In remote areas, the security level is as high as in the center, besides there are many parks for walks. Another plus of remote areas from the center is a problem-free (and often free) parking.

Still the best and the most reliable service to find a place to stay in Prague is Booking. That is why I have created a special search for parents with kids, where you will find hotels or apartments in the very heart of the city with all the facilities one needs to have when traveling with kids. Click on the picture below to see and compare possible variants.
